Name: Guy Monroe Pyke
Date of disappearance: April 2nd, 1999
Age at time of disappearance: 70
Location: Evans Mills, New York
Physical description: Guy is a six foot tall, Caucasian male who weighs approximately 165lbs. He has grey hair and blue eyes. He wears bifocal glasses with wire frames. He has a scar on the bridge of his nose. He was last seen wearing a blue, green and red plaid shirt and a maroon sweatshirt as well as blue jeans and brown boots.
Last seen: Guy was last seen by his wife Arlene leaving their home in the 4900 block of Aitchison Road in upstate New York at roughly 3pm on April 2nd, 1999. Guy left in his dark blue, 1989 Chevrolet Blazer. It has a black top, chrome diamond running boards and a New York licence plate, FMS 867. His plan was to visit cousins in Watertown, roughly seventy miles away. His cousin reported that Guy’s vehicle did indeed pull up outside her home but that he drove away after her dog responded aggressively to his arrival. Guy was on blood thinners due to a heart condition. He was also thought to be suffering from dementia. He had recently started to experience forgetful and confused episodes and on several occasions had gone for a drive and gotten lost, not remembering where he was or how to get home. This is why his wife Arlene waited almost two days to report him missing. Guy had previously talked about visiting relatives in Canada but there is no evidence that he ever crossed the border.
